Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask.”
Jesus told her, “Your brother will rise again.”
“Yes,” Martha said, “he will rise when everyone else rises, at the last day.”

John 11:21-24

Is our request too big? Is our request too small? In our time of prayer, we must be wary of putting a limiter on God. We limit him with our unbelief, thinking our request impossible and we limit him with our belief that we know what He can do. He can do INFINITELY more than we could hope or imagine. Expect the Unexpected. Expect God to surprise you. Martha expected Jesus to raise Lazarus at the end of time. She KNEW that God would do this, but Jesus was preparing to do something even greater. As you get into your time of prayer, begin by praising God for all that He has done and will do. Give Him thanks in advance, believing that His plans exceed even our greatest plans and dreams.
